More Tattoo Awesomeness...

Okay, so where my FF tattoos that were completed way back in May 2013 were of the 'deepseated emotional attachment' calibre - the likes of which you see people talking about on Miami Ink in a desperate effort to flesh out the relevance of that program, I've since returned to Mr Chung for more work I'm totally unabashed to admit is for a comparatively shallow purpose. That is to say, the purely aesthetical reason that I love Japanese tattoo design.

I could probably bang on about the historical context of the Yakuza, make a decent stab at validating my whiteboy infatuation with the far east and discuss what I perceive to be the comparative purity of Japanese and Maori tattoo conventions against the vogue of pop-culture tattoo shiteness seen basically everywhere today, but I'm making a concerted effort not to devolve into vitriolic indignance or monocled elitism at anything I feel strongly about, anymore, ever - thus was my new years resolution to myself and my direct response to reading the Tao te Ching.

As such I have nothing particularly relevant to flesh out this post with other than a couple of snaps taken of works in progress...
