Another Friday, Another Purple Turtle

There's little better one can do with 8 hours on a Saturday afternoon than play Game of Thrones/Lord of the Rings/Pirates of the Caribbean/Harry Potter Guess Who in a bar. - Actually there are probably several better things one can do, however put four people obsessed with any and every high fantasy masterpiece churned out by the Hollywood/HBO in a room and see what happens. And no, I felt no shame watching cool adults walk to and fro from the bar whilst I sat pinning a scrap of paper with "Ser Loras Tyrell of Highgarden" scrawled on it to my head.

Round Two of horribly nerdy Guess Who

My friend who I see most days on my way to work :)

Another Friday- Another Purple Turtle

This is Gareth of the Purple Turtle who I haven't seen in 5 years since he got barred for some affray I can't quite remember. The significance of this pose is that I have a photograph of him circa 2006 in the exact same position in the exact same pub. Regrettably that is one of the 15 or so camera films I haven't yet scanned onto my computer :/

Dutty and Emma-Rose.

Chris and Emma's friend

Portrait of Chris.
This guy has just returned from travelling the world for the third time and as such this is the first time he's featured on my blog for about a year. Clearly ecstatic to be home.

    1. Interesting. Just had to consider online as the great blue heron and the grey heron are pretty similar. Apparently a good way to tell them apart is that the great blue has some rusty colouration to its legs and some of its feathers - which this guy does to his legs at least. However, as great blue's are so rare to the UK i'd have to concede that this guy's more likely than not a cleverly disguised grey heron.
